Benefit Movie Night Set For Crofton CROFTON, Neb. — “Zootopia,” a popular animated family movie, will air under the stars at Crofton’s outdoor sport’s complex Tuesday, July 26. Gates open at 8:30 p.m. with music and old-fashion drive-in theatre entertainment on the big screen. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, but you are asked not to bring coolers or outside snacks. Concessions will be available. The event is free-will donation. Proceeds benefit Crofton’s 125th anniversary celebration planned for July 1-4, 2017. Vermillion Library Summer Party Set VERMILLION — The Edith B. Siegrist Vermillion Public Library is hosting an End-of-Summer Reading Program Party at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at the library, located at 18 Church St. Patrons are invited to join in the library’s “Cool Down Party” — an afternoon of water games, pizza, ice cream and prizes in honor of their participation in this summer’s program. Be ready to get wet. Yankton Duathlon Slated Aug 5 The City of Yankton’s Recreation Department will host the fourth annual Yankton Duathlon for youth ages 6-15 years on Friday, Aug. 5, at Riverside Park. This free event will include biking and running and is open to participants from Yankton and the surrounding area. Participants are required to wear a helmet and are encouraged to bring a water bottle. Registration forms may be picked up and returned to the Summit Activities Center by Thursday, Aug. 4.
