After graduating from South Dakota State University earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he returned to Northwest Iowa and worked 12 years at an electric motor company where he spent time in engineering, sales and manufacturing. James is married to Teresa and they have an Old English Sheepdog named Moose.
