This is done by providing them a continuum of care to help them stabilize their lives while maintaining their dignity. In keeping with our philosophy of a hand up, not a hand out. We are responsible for managing their checking account, paying their bills, developing a budget and disbursing a weekly check to the clients for groceries and other living essentials. We meet with the majority of our clients at least weekly to make sure their needs are being met and to handle any problems they may be presented with. • Information and Referral • Financial Assistance - The Contact Center provides emergency assistance for rent, heat assistance, utility bills, medications, gas/oil, clothing vouchers and miscellaneous crisis needs. • Backpack Project - This project provides Dakota arcHErY & OutdOOr SpOrtS “We’ve Got You Covered” 605-665-8340 2305 E. Hwy. 50 • Yankton Open every night ‘till 9:00 p.m. children, grades K-8 with a voucher so they can pick out a back pack of their choice.
