On Tuesday, Jan 21, at 10:30 a.m. during the library’s regular Storytime, they will have fun with stories, songs, finger plays and movement in both English and Chinese for families to enjoy together. This program is a partnership with Cornerstones Career Learning Center. Bilingual Storytime is free of charge and no registration is required. For questions, call the library at 605-668-5275 or email library@cityofyankton.org. HERE’S myCARD! ‘Teens Create’ Program At Yankton Library Our new “Teens Create” program at the Yankton Community Library is continuing through May – but on a new day of the week. Middle schoolers and high schoolers are invited to join the library staff each Monday after school in trying their hand at a fun new art or craft each week (or two, depending on the difficulty of the project). While they create, the group will listen to an audio book from this year’s YARP list — “Not If I Save You First” by Ally Carter, about Maddie, a daughter of a past Secret Service agent and Logan, the son of the president. Their longtime friendship is thought to be over until Logan is sent to the Alaskan wilderness to stay with Maddie and her father. Logan’s appearance is followed by the disappearance of her father. Soon Maddie and Logan are thrust into an adventure to save themselves and Maddie’s father and unravel the mystery of the man who is now hunting them through the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness. Come enjoy an exciting adventure story and join in on the fun on Monday afternoons. The Yankton Community Library is located at 515 Walnut Street, Yankton. For questions, call the library at 605-668-5275 or email library@cityofyankton.org. Visitor Center Hosts Bald Eagle Days Lewis & Clark Visitor Center will hold its annual Bald Eagle Days Jan. 24-26.
