It will be carried out by Ernest Bowyer Post 791. The schedule includes: Avenue of Flags, Memorial Park, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.. Cemetery flags erected at boundaries of cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, down at 5:00 p.m. Monday. Color Guard Ceremony: 9:00 a.m.-VFW plot Yankton Cemetery; 9:15 a.m.- GAR plot; 9:30 a.m.- Sacred Heart Cemetery; 9:45 a.m.- Human Services Center Cemetery; 10:00 a.m.- Garden of Memories Cemetery; 11:00 a.m.-Fantle Memorial Park. The 11:00 a.m. program will feature a guest speaker. Post Commander Cody Mangold will be Master of Ceremonies. This is sponsored by the VFW Post and its’ Auxiliary, Roy Anderson Post American Legion and its’ Auxiliary, D.A.V., Hevle Heimes Post and its’ Auxiliary. In case of inclement weather, the Memorial Day program will be held at the Post Home, 209 Cedar St., Yankton. There will be a potluck at the Post Home following the program. The Group will proceed to the following cemeteries: Volin - 9:00 a.m. Faith United - 9:10 a.m. Mission Hill - 9:30 a.m. Vangen - 9:40 a.m. Gayville - 10:00 a.m. Danish - 10:20 a.m. Bergen - 10:40 a.m. Meckling - 10:50 a.m. Gayville Memorial - 11:30 a.m. Luncheon following the program at the Gayville Community Center. Free will offering. Services begin at St. Wenceslaus, in Tabor at 9:00 a.m., followed by a program in Sokal Park at 10:30 a.m., with our honored guest and speaker Captain Mark Marty of the United States Navy. A luncheon will be held at the Tabor Legion Hall. All of the community is invited to attend. Wakonda Memorial Day Program & Dinner Monday, May, 25, 2015, Wakonda American Legion, 103 Montana St. Wakonda, SD. Program at 11:00 a.m.. Guest Speaker: Reid Christopherson, Lt. Mission Hill Col. SD Air National Guard, Retired., Exec. Vangen Lutheran Church in Mission Hill Dir.
