Our office is also responsible for the issuance of marriage licenses, as well as certified copies of birth certificates, death certificates and marriage certificates. The Yankton County Register of Deeds collected $274,793 in fees in 2016, including $22,258 in revenue from providing copies of real estate documents. The $274,793 total also includes $94,349 in Land Transfer Fees (representing $94.35 million in 2016 Yankton County land sales).
